Hello all!
I feel like this year has been really good to me in regards to art and commissions.
Every artist knows it's a constant learning process, and I have a few New Years Resolutions for my artwork in the coming year.
1. Participate in more bazaars. Last year I only participated in two, but they were very fun! I work on the weekends so it is difficult to get away. But there are some bazaars that are held on Fridays
2. Get better at watercolor landscapes. I recently purchased "The Complete Watercolorist's Essential Notebook" by Gordon MacKenzie and I absolutely love it!
3. Paint more feathers and bones. I've been painting turkey feathers, and I have been astonished at how fast they sell! I paint animals on them, and they have become extremely popular (this is just based on previous interest in my art, and in comparison I have probably doubled the interest).
4. Really stock up my Etsy account. I had my first purchase from Etsy last week and it made me feel really good that someone who has never met me liked my art enough to buy a print
5. Try gouache. My uncle bought me a gouache set and I really want to try it out.
Have a happy New Year! Thank you for all your comments, faves, watches, and overall support!

Just in General
Howdy all!
Not much to update. Preparing pieces for the fair this summer. Working on some bigger pieces.
Also in a local eclectic gallery with great atmosphere.
Keep arting!
Logger's Jubilee
Hello!
I am so excited to participate in the annual Logger's Jubilee this year! I feel like my wildlife artwork will fit in nicely :)
I have quite a few pieces I am ready to try and sell. And I put more energy towards producing quality prints. Really interested to see how they are received.
Every year I also enter three pieces into the county fair and I was honored to get ribbons on all three! :la: Plus, I qualify to enter them in the "professional/semipro" adult category which makes the competition harder. I won second place twice and an honorable mention and I am so thrilled!
This year is a good year despite making less art overall.

New Year
Hello!
I have not been producing much art lately. But fear not, I haven't stopped completely!
I have completed a hand saw painting commission which was really fun!
I am also working on a two-man sawblade painting as a commission. This will be a little more tedious.
I am planning to participate in a Logging Jubilee a few hours away this summer! So exciting!
Christmas Time
Hello all!
It's been a while since I've updated my journal. I know only a few people watch me but I'm still active on DA.
This year I have participated in two Holiday Bazaars in my local area. My third and last is this weekend.
I haven't made much new artwork since I started working full time. The inspiration is there, but the energy hasn't been. I've been collecting amazing stock from DA but haven't referenced much yet. Most of my art is done on the weekends when my mornings are free. I've also been trying to paint more turkey feathers with different subjects (but birds are my favorite ;)) The bazaars have been really fun! I get to meet p
